How Do You Get Head Lice

Lice do not hop, jump, or fly. The only crawl. You get head lice almost exclusively it’s from head-to-head contact and not from sharing  athletic helmets, sitting on couches, sitting at the movies, or sharing brushes. Lice have evolved to with special claws and they  move very quickly and efficiently along two parallel hairs and don’t feel comfortable on the the surface of a knitted cap, fabric sofa, move seat chair, or brush. They travel quickly only on hair and that’s their preferred method. They also need a warm scalp to suck blood from and for their eggs to nest on to survive. So if you get head lice it’s almost always from head-to-head contact with somebody that has a head lice infestation.
