Our Chemical-Free Do-It-Yourself Lice Removal Kit includes all of the products required to kill live lice and comb out eggs over a 10 day period. This process takes time, patience, accuracy, and a high quality lice comb. Step 1: Apply approximately two ounces of our lice suffocation oil by massaging it thoroughly onto the scalp and making sure to leave it on at least 15 minutes. Lice like to live where it is warm such as the back of the scalp and the crown of the head so place special focus on those areas. Lice have nostrils that allow them to breathe so this will suffocate the lice. If the person has long hair, you will most likely need more than two ounces. Maybe four to six ounces. Because you will apply at least two ounces of our lice suffocation oil on day 1, day, 5, and day 10, if you have more than one person that you are treating, it is highly likely that you will need to purchase at least one more 8 ounce bottle of our lice suffocation oil. Step 2:   Dry the hair until damp.  Detangle the hair as much as possible.  You will now use the lice comb and the comb-out mousse.  Divide the hair into four sections. Twist hair into a small bun with butterfly clip for each section.  Start on one section. Unclip and detangle that section of hair. Start with a small strand and comb using the nit comb.  When combing through, dip the nit comb into a bowl with water.  Comb through the hair several times until you don’t see any more eggs or lice coming out in that strand of hair. Continue to do this until that section is completed.  Once a section is done, clip it back into a bun and continue with the rest of the hair and the other sections.  When all four sections are completed unclip the hair completely and run the comb again beginning from the forehead until the nape pf the neck in many directions. Step 3:  Lice eggs are the size of a grain of sand, do not move, and are glued to the hair strand so it is very easy to miss an egg. You are looking for a needle in a haystack. Comb out every day as long as needed.  Repeat steps 1 and steps 2 on day 5 and day 10
